- Key Drivers:
- Provide enterprise-wide document and image management, deliver competitive advantage, empower staff to provide better customer service.
The stringent banking regulations, to which ASBNJ and all US banks must adhere, mandate that banks must keep records of all checks received before they are entered into the banking system. Financial institutions capture and archive millions of images of checks. The solution employed by the Bank for a number of years, was microfilm.
Microfilm images are not, however, always guaranteed to be readable. This lead to an unacceptably large investment of time and resources used to check the microfilm content. The hardware components of the microfilm system were not 100% reliable and maintenance costs for the aging machines was increasing. A reliable, scalable solution was required.

Supporting a critical function with a diverse area was a challenge, particularly because the support processes were manual and bogged down with paper. No PCs, no microfilm; just paper.
Infonic’s document management solution replaced the completely paper-based filing system. Implemented by Comnetix, formerly Paragon Total Solutions, the new system produced immediate, significant benefits in the first 90 days.
Floyd County continues to automate additional processes and take advantage of strong feature of Infonic Document Manager.

- Key Drivers:
- Minimize manual processes, store multiple documents types, eliminate inefficient paper system, create additional office space by eliminating shelving system.
Prior to Document Manager, Walton spent $40,000 on a mechanical filing system of shelves mounted on rails to maximize space. To retrieve a case file, the row location had to be known and then a walkway created.
Infonic’s Document Manager was able to consolidate digital and paper documents into a single file. All material was indexed for full text searching. Files were available for immediate, secure access. Critical information was now available to authorized personnel and other agencies.
