2009 – here we come!

Monday, January 12th, 2009

It’s been a while since I last posted on here partly because we’ve been heads down getting our Business Edition product ready to ship. There have been some notable business wins in December that are going to keep us occupied for a while and also present some new market opportunities. One accounts payable invoice capture to line item project, and one enterprise wide deployment across 6 departments including two conversions from existing document management products and integration with a leading HR management product.

In between eating turkey and mince pies we’ve been putting the finishing touches on our Business Edition product, completing the product testing, finalising artwork, making sure the installer installs on everything and writing all the release notes. It’s looking good and even our MD can complete an installation, we’ll try the Sales Director next!

After much searching we have a new starter in the Development team who will be focusing entirely on strategic integrations with 3rd party software vendors, starting with the Iris Exchequer product and then Sun Accounts to make our existing solutions with these products more ‘out of the box’ and therefore attractive to a larger market and our reseller network.

We have also produced a new licensing mechanism that will allow us to more easily deploy and upgrade licenses, and enable our distribution channel to more easily obtain and supply product licenses to their resellers and customers.

We have invested a lot of effort into making the whole sales and deployment process easier and are continuing to do so making it easy for resellers to sell and deliver our product. The competition had better watch out, it’s a tough environment out there and we’re targeting it aggressively.
